Add a Watermark to a Photo

Mark your photos with your name, website or logo before you share them, on one photo or a whole set. The photo editor does it in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

How to Add a Watermark to a Photo

  1. Open your photo in the photo editor and choose the Text tool on the left.
  2. Under Watermark, tick Add a watermark. Choose Text and type your name or website, or choose Logo and press Choose a logo… (a PNG with a see-through background looks best).
  3. Pick one of the nine places, or Tiled across the photo to repeat it at an angle so it can't simply be cropped off. Set the Size, Opacity and Angle.
  4. Save as usual with the button at the top right. The watermark is part of the saved picture.

Questions

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Yes. Open them all in the Batch tool and tick Add the watermark: every photo gets the same watermark, sized to fit it, in one ZIP. See resize images in bulk.

Will it look the same on big and small photos?

Yes. Its size and its distance from the edge are shares of each photo, so a phone photo and a small picture get the same look.

Does the editor remember my watermark?

Yes. Your last watermark, and a small logo, are kept in this browser for next time. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Can a watermark be removed?

A corner watermark can be cropped off. One tiled across the photo is much harder to remove, so it suits photos you show before you sell them.
