Video Filters

Give your whole video a colour look with one of eight filters, then fine-tune its light and colour. Each filter shows your own video before you pick it, and the video stays on your device.

Add a Filter to a Video

How to Add a Filter to a Video

  1. Open your video in the video editor. MP4, MOV and WebM work.
  2. In the Filters tool on the left, press a filter: Original, Vivid, Warm, Cool, Mono, Sepia, Faded, Dramatic or Vintage. Each tile shows the frame under the playhead with that filter.
  3. Fine-tune with the Brightness, Contrast and Saturation sliders. Reset takes everything back to the start.
  4. Press Save MP4 at the top right.

Questions

What do the filters look like?

Mono is black and white and Sepia old-photo brown. Warm and Vintage add warmth, Cool makes it colder. Vivid adds colour, Dramatic adds contrast, and Faded softens it with lighter shadows.

Does the filter change my subtitles, text or logo?

No. They keep their own colours; the filter only changes the video picture underneath.

Can I use a filter on only part of the video?

No, the filter is for the whole video, including clips you added with Merge.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The filter is applied and the video is saved in your browser; nothing leaves your device.
